ACAP Saint John is pleased to extend an invitation to the renaturalization of Spar Cove, a new green space in the North End of Saint John. This volunteer event will take place on Thursday August 29, 2019 between 8:30am-11am at the bottom Main Street next to Robertson Square Park. A ceremonial tree planting will begin at 10:00am.
This project is to help restore degraded riparian areas across sub-watersheds within the lower St. John River watershed. This exciting new project is designed to engage volunteers in riparian plantings and natural floodplain restorations that will improve biodiversity and increase flood resilience, while also restoring watershed health, and providing renewed public access and education on the historic St. John River.
This project is funded by TD Insurance, with in-kind support from the City of Saint John’s Department of Transportation & Environment Services.
